• 6V-ADE Ste, Nationale Transportes Air Senegal, Dakar Airport, Yoff, Senegal. Delivered 27-Nov-1973.

Note: Total time at 26-Dec-1984 – 10,820 hours.

Accident: Yoff Airport, Dakar, Senegal 10-Dec-1993 Air Senegal Twin Otter 6V-ADE was instructed to descend and maintain 3,000 feet and report over the Dakar YF VOR. Outbound traffic from Dakar (A YS-11, C5-GAA) was instructed to climb to 2,000 feet and intercept the radial 140 of the YF VOR. Failure to respect the assigned altitude caused both planes to collide at 2,700-2,900 feet. The DHC-6 crashed into the sea. The three occupants, one crew and two passengers were killed, but the NAMC YS-11 managed to return to Dakar.
