Accident: S of Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands. On a flight from Kirakira to Honiara-Henderson International Airport both of the Solomon Islands, the aircraft struck the southern face of Mount Nashua at 4,110 feet altitude in heavy rain and low cloud. The aircraft was making a visual descent from 8,000 feet. Two crew and thirteen passengers killed.
